The Oconee County Tourism and Visitors Bureau meetings are held bi-monthly on the second Tuesday at 5:30 pm unless otherwise stated. Our board consists of a variety of local business owners, residents and executives within our community.

Sarah attended the University of North Georgia where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Prior to becoming the Executive Director, Sarah spent 7.5 years with Express Employment Professionals as their Marketing and Recruiting Manager. She and her husband Mick are both natives of Oconee County and are raising their two children, MJ and CJ, in the town they grew up in. She has a passion and love for the county that is undeniable and is excited to give back to her community.
FUN FACTS: Sarah loves to travel to at least one new place each year. She also loves to try new hobbies. Whether it’s kickboxing, MMA, horseback riding, staring in a play, or ziplining, she’s always up for trying something new!

Joann attended Athens Technical College and received certification as a front office receptionist. She moved to Oconee County upon her marriage in 1991. She has been a volunteer in our community serving as past Recording Secretary for the Rev. John Andrew Chapter, NSDAR, past Recording Secretary for the Oconee Historical Society. Joann started her career at the Oconee County Welcome Center as a volunteer in August 2018.
FUN FACTS: Joann loves to travel and meet new people. She is a passionate reader and lover of history. Favorite food is pizza. Her pets include a dog, a parakeet and salt water fish.
