SONY DSC

Oconee County is a Camera Ready Community. Camera Ready Communities have in place a program that provides film and television production companies with easier, faster and better access to local resources and location information. Each community, including Oconee County, has a Camera Ready liaison in place who can assist film and television production companies on a local level.

Oconee County has a mix of everything, from facilities typically seen in more urban areas to the truly rural.  There is a mixture of lodging options, shopping centers, recreational opportunities, and a unique selection of independent restaurants in the area to accommodate production needs.  Additionally, Oconee County is just 60 miles from Atlanta making it the ideal location to shoot a entire film or a few iconic scenes.
