What are the best places to shop in Oconee County?
There are three main retail nodes in the county offering a variety of products. Downtown Watkinsville has great restaurants and some niche boutiques ranging from clothing to art. Butler’s Crossing area has restaurants, grocery stores, and quite a few additional retail stores. The Epps Bridge Parkway corridor has numerous big box retailers surrounded by a number of retailers, many with names you would recognize.

Where should we stay in Oconee County?
It depends on what you are looking for. For a great B&B experience in uniquely decorated rooms, the Ashford Manor is for you. If a more traditional lodging experience is what you are looking for, then the SpringHill Suites will make you feel at home. Both will make you breakfast – and even do the dishes!

We are actually minutes away from both. Watkinsville is only 8 miles from Athens. Lake Oconee is only 30 minutes to the south.
